PADI Instructor Development Course

PADI’s IDC is a program that equips you with the knowledge and skills you need to teach new and continuing education divers. 
Your IDC has two different parts: AI (Assistant Instructor) and OWSI (Open Water Scuba Instructor).
These are completed one after the other.

 

During your Instructor Development Course, you’ll learn more about the business of diving, get better at speaking in front of others, and polish your in-water skill demonstrations. You’ll also have a lot of fun working in a team with your fellow instructor candidates.

 

The course is comprised of workshops both in and out of the water. You’ll practice briefing skills on land and teaching those skills underwater. You’ll also hear presentations about key topics in the dive industry, brush up on your PADI standards, and learn to start thinking like a dive instructor. The IDC program is a very interactive one where you will get to experience a multitude of situations and how to respond through workshops and in-situation training.

 

Because we want you to have the best training possible, we offer a two-day preparation program completely free of charge. 

 

After finishing the IDC, you’ll sit the Instructor Examination (IE) here in Dahab. We’ll be with you every step of the way to provide support, encouragement, and your own personal cheer squad!
